Johanna Robinson is an author, illustrator, and storyteller. P and V and the Popsicle Bath is her first children’s book, a playful and heartfelt story about everyday adventures, problem-solving, and the love that holds a family together. Inspired by her own children’s experiences, Johanna captures the warmth, humor, and small but significant moments that make childhood magical.

She also co-authored the play When Freedom Came with Dr. Shari Williams, which was performed at the 2023 Old Federal Road Storytelling Festival. In addition to children’s books, Johanna writes both fiction and nonfiction for adults, often drawing from her love for and research on Macon County, Alabama. Her passion for family history, genealogy, and storytelling continues to shape her work, blending personal heritage with universal themes.

When she’s not writing or illustrating, Johanna loves painting, reading, and traveling—interests that often inspire her creative process. She lives in California with her entrepreneur husband, Kurling, their identical twin daughters, and a grey tabby cat with a pink nose. She also has two adult children.
